Gala dinner software
Sell the tables. Seat the room. Skip the spreadsheet.
Gala dinners and awards nights run on tables — sold to sponsors, filled by hosts, seated by you. EventGen sells whole tables or individual seats through your normal checkout, lets table hosts nominate their own guests, and keeps table assignment, refunds, and the seating plan in one place.
The usual gala workflow is a payment link, three spreadsheets, and a mail merge — with the seating plan redone by hand every time a sponsor upgrades or a guest drops out. EventGen treats the gala as what it is: inventory (tables and seats, in grades), buyers (hosts who bring their own guests), and a room layout. Sell a table and the host gets a portal page to nominate who sits at it; issue a refund and the table maths recalculates itself.
Everything a seated dinner needs
Table grades & inventory
Define table grades — platinum front-row tables of 12, standard tables of 10 — with counts and seat numbers, and sell against real inventory.
Sell tables or seats
Whole tables for sponsors, single seats for individuals — both through the same checkout as your tickets, with VAT and promo codes.
Host guest nominations
Whoever buys a table becomes its host and nominates who fills each seat from their portal page — you stop being the middleman for guest lists.
Table assignment
Assign purchased tables to physical tables in the room from an allocation view, and release or reshuffle as sales evolve.
Refund-proof table maths
When an order is refunded, table entitlements recalculate automatically — no orphaned seats or double-sold tables.
Optional visual table plan
Lay the room out with EventGen's floor plan designer in table-plan mode, so the physical layout and the sales inventory stay in sync.
Gala dinner FAQ
Can I sell whole tables and individual seats at the same gala?
Yes. Table grades and single seats are both products in EventGen, sold through the same checkout. A sponsor can buy a platinum table of 12 while individuals buy single seats, and both feed the same seating inventory.
How do table hosts invite their guests?
The buyer of a table becomes its host and gets a portal page to nominate a guest for each seat. Nominated guests are registered against the event, so they exist in your data like any other attendee — with dietary fields or anything else you ask for.
What happens if a table order is refunded?
EventGen recalculates the table entitlements automatically when a refund is issued, so the freed table or seats go back into sellable inventory and the seating plan reflects reality.
Can I draw the actual room layout?
Yes — EventGen's floor plan designer has a table-plan mode. Draw the room, place the tables, and the plan links to the same inventory you're selling, so assignment happens on a picture of the room rather than a list.
Is gala dinner management included in the plans?
Yes. Like every EventGen feature, gala dinner management is included on all plans, including Free — plans differ by capacity, not capability.
