Why we built EventGen.
The story behind the platform — and why event software needed to change.
The problem we saw
Event management software has been stuck in two extremes for years.
On one end, enterprise platforms like Cvent and Bizzabo offer powerful features — but they gate everything behind sales teams, lengthy contracts, and professional services. Setting up a single event can take weeks and cost tens of thousands of pounds. Need a change? Submit a ticket and wait.
On the other end, tools like Eventbrite and Luma are simple to start with — but they're limited. Basic registration, no real networking, no customisable portal, no AI. You outgrow them the moment your event gets serious.
What we believed
We believed that an event organiser should be able to sign up for a platform, describe their event in plain language, and have AI build the entire thing — registration, portal, networking, communications — in minutes. Not weeks.
We believed you shouldn't need to sit through demos, negotiate pricing, or sign contracts just to test whether a tool works for you. You should be able to try everything for free, with no pressure and no commitment.
And we believed that enterprise-grade features — especially B2B networking and matchmaking — shouldn't require enterprise budgets or hardware badges. They should be software-native, AI-assisted, and available to everyone.
What we built
EventGen is the result. An AI-native event management platform built from scratch on Google Cloud, powered by Vertex AI and Gemini. Every feature was designed to be set up by AI, not just by you.
The networking system alone — with open and curated modes, wishlists, algorithmic matching, team networking, scheduling, and place allocation — rivals what enterprise platforms charge heavily for. And it's included in every plan, including free.
We're a UK-based company (Company No. 16480174), building on Google Cloud infrastructure. We're not a toy or a side project — we're building the platform we wish existed when we needed it.
Who's behind EventGen
Some of the world's most demanding organisers — including Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Gartner and ACI North America — have relied on networking technology from our team. EventGen was created by that same team, with nearly two decades of experience behind it.
That's our heritage — not a customer list: those organisations used our team's earlier networking technology, not EventGen. EventGen is an entirely new, AI-native platform, built from the ground up.
What carries over is the experience: nearly twenty years of working with event organisers, applied to a clean, modern, AI-first build. The platform is new — the experience behind it is not.
Our approach
No sales team. No demos. No contracts. No pressure. Just a product that speaks for itself.
Sign up, let AI build your event, test everything, and decide for yourself. If it works, upgrade when you're ready. If it doesn't, walk away — no hard feelings.
We believe the best way to earn your business is to let you experience the product, not to sell you on it.
What we stand for
Transparency
Clear pricing, no hidden fees, no sales pressure. You see exactly what you get before you pay.
AI-First
AI isn't a feature we added — it's how the product works. Every capability is designed to be AI-assisted.
No Gatekeeping
Every feature is available on every plan. The only variable is scale. We don't hide capabilities behind tiers.
Describe your event.
AI does the rest.
No demo. No sales call. No contract. No learning curve. Just sign up, tell AI what you need, and watch your event come to life.
Free plan includes all features — registration, networking, portal, comms. No credit card required.
