Cookie Notice
Draft updated 27 July 2026
This notice explains how Evengage Ltd, trading as EventGen, uses cookies and similar storage technologies on EventGen websites, applications and event portals. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
Approval status: this is an implementation-matched draft. The optional Google Tag Manager, Analytics and Ads configuration must remain disabled until EventGen’s owner and privacy adviser/DPO have approved the final notice, purposes, providers, retention and consent settings.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and device identifiers. They can keep a service secure, remember choices and maintain a signed-in session.
2. Strictly necessary technologies
We may use strictly necessary technologies to authenticate users, maintain sessions, route traffic, prevent fraud and cross-site request forgery, remember privacy or accessibility choices, and provide features requested by the user. These are necessary to provide the service and cannot always be disabled through our controls. Blocking them in your browser may prevent parts of the Platform from working.
On the marketing website, eventgen_consent_v1 is stored in local storage for up to 180 days to remember the choices you request. It does not contain your name, email address or advertising click identifiers.
3. Analytics, advertising and non-essential cookies
The marketing website contains a configuration-gated Google Tag Manager foundation. All Google Consent Mode v2 signals default to denied, and no Google container is loaded unless approved configuration is present and you grant the relevant choice. At the date of this draft, the production identifiers and activation approval remain pending.
If approved and enabled, the available choices are:
- Analytics: consented measurement of page paths and limited interactions such as calls to action and form progress. Campaign query strings, advertising click IDs and form contents are excluded from the website’s analytics event payloads.
- Advertising measurement: consented paid-campaign attribution and approved Google Ads measurement. Allowlisted campaign values and Google click identifiers may be held in tab-scoped session storage for up to 30 minutes of inactivity and no more than four hours, then forwarded to the EventGen dashboard sign-up route. They are cleared when this choice is denied or withdrawn.
- Personalised advertising: a separate choice controlling whether consented information may be used for ad personalisation. It cannot be enabled without advertising measurement.
Where consented Google tags are enabled, Google may set or read its own first-party measurement cookies and may append a cross-domain linker parameter when you move between eventgen.ai and dashboard.eventgen.ai. The final Google services, cookie names, durations, international-transfer information and controller/processor roles must be confirmed in the owner/privacy review before activation.
4. Interactive third-party services
If you choose to submit the contact form, use the website support bot, sign in through an external identity provider, make a payment or use another integrated feature, the relevant provider may receive technical and submitted information and may set technologies necessary to deliver that interaction. Providers used by the Platform are described in our Sub-processor List and Privacy Policy. Their own notices may also apply where they act independently.
5. Event portals
An event organiser may configure its portal and integrations. The organiser is responsible for identifying any additional non-essential technologies it introduces, providing information and collecting consent where required. Its privacy and cookie notices may therefore also apply.
6. Your controls
You can use the Privacy choices link in the website footer to accept, reject or change each optional category. Withdrawing all optional choices sends denied consent signals, stops new website measurement events, clears the short-lived paid-attribution record and attempts to remove accessible Google measurement cookies from this site. You can also delete or block storage through your browser settings. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing and does not disable technologies that remain strictly necessary.
7. Contact and changes
We may update this notice when our technology or legal obligations change. Questions can be sent to privacy@eventgen.ai.
