AI event matchmaking software

Find the right meetings by describing what you need

AI Intent Matchmaking is EventGen's optional AI event matchmaking layer. Organisers can enable natural-language discovery, objective-led recommendations and curation, or both for each exact networking direction. Existing wishlists, profile matching, eligibility rules, privacy controls and organiser workflows stay in place.

Add it to an EventGen networking programme when it suits your event.

The problem

Real intent rarely fits inside a row of filters

Structured filters are useful when someone knows the exact sector, country or category they need. They are less useful when the real objective is a combination of experience, capabilities, timing and context spread across freehand company descriptions, CVs, product catalogues or images.

AI Intent Matchmaking adds a meaning-based discovery layer while keeping exact filters, directional eligibility, privacy, Hidden and block choices, availability, capacity and organiser-selected sorting authoritative. It is an option within EventGen networking, not a replacement for browse, wishlists, Profile Match or organiser judgement.

Examples

Ask for the outcome, not just the keywords

These examples use only profile information visible for the networking direction and files the organiser has deliberately selected after security scanning. EventGen does not search every upload, private files, email, CRM data or the public web.

Job and careers fair

Search candidate CVs by hiring need

“Find candidates with three or more years of B2B customer-success experience, fluent German, and evidence of managing enterprise software accounts.”

A hiring company can search the candidates it is eligible to discover using visible profile answers and organiser-selected, security-scanned CVs. EventGen can surface candidates whose experience expresses the requirement in different words, then provide a grounded meeting angle. The result is a relevance guide, not an employment recommendation or guarantee.

Buyer and supplier event

Search detailed product catalogues

“Find European suppliers offering recyclable, temperature-controlled pharmaceutical packaging, ideally with a current product catalogue and a take-back programme.”

EventGen can combine visible company-profile markets with an organiser-selected, security-scanned catalogue describing cold-chain packaging, recyclable materials and take-back logistics. A Conversation Brief can explain the evidence, highlight why the conversation may be timely and suggest a practical meeting angle.

How it works

Add intent without replacing the networking workflow

  1. 1

    Choose the direction

Enable Search by intent, objective-led matching, or both for one exact direction. Buyers to Suppliers never silently configures Suppliers to Buyers.

  2. 2

    Authorise the evidence

Use profile information visible for that networking direction and deliberately opt in eligible, security-scanned files or images.

  3. 3

    Describe the objective

A participant can make a temporary natural-language search or define a Networking Objective that produces a personal Networking Playbook.

  4. 4

    Review and act

Use Meeting Fit as a relevance guide, open a grounded Conversation Brief, or let the organiser add AI Intent Match to manual or automatic curation.

Capabilities

AI matchmaking for events with exact controls

Search by intent

Let participants describe who they want to meet in natural language across authorised freehand profile information and selected files or images, while retaining exact filters.

Networking Playbook

Use a participant-defined Networking Objective to suggest relevant people and practical conversations. Temporary searches do not silently change that saved objective.

Meeting Fit and Conversation Brief

Show a calibrated relevance band, common ground, Why now, uncertainty and a suggested meeting angle grounded in authorised evidence. Meeting Fit is not a guarantee.

Editable meeting-purpose drafts

Participants can ask for a purpose draft, review or replace it, then submit the normal request or wishlist form themselves. EventGen never sends it automatically.

Organiser-led intent curation

Use AI Intent Fit in Manual Networking or add AI Intent Match as one stage alongside Mutual Wishlist, One-Sided Wishlist, Profile Match and Top Up.

Safe fallback

If AI is preparing or unavailable, attendees and organisers continue with the ordinary directory, filters, wishlists, matching, Saved and Hidden views, and manual controls.

When to use it

Useful when the best evidence is detailed or unstructured

  • Job and careers fairs

Help employers find eligible candidates from visible profiles and organiser-selected, security-scanned CVs using the experience, skills and context they actually need.

  • Trade shows and procurement events

Search company descriptions, product catalogues and approved product images for combinations of capability, certification, material, market or use case.

  • Hosted buyer and supplier programmes

Add stated meeting objectives to wishlists, compatibility rules and organiser priorities when building a curated schedule.

  • Investor, innovation and partner events

Describe a challenge, mandate or partnership objective in full rather than relying only on fixed categories and profile similarity.

AI Intent Matchmaking FAQ

Is EventGen AI event matchmaking software?

Yes. AI Intent Matchmaking is EventGen's optional AI matchmaking layer for events. It supports natural-language participant discovery, objective-led recommendations and organiser curation while the existing eligibility, privacy, wishlist, review, availability and scheduling controls remain authoritative.

Is AI Intent Matchmaking required for EventGen networking?

No. It is optional and configured independently for each networking direction. Events can continue using ordinary browse, exact filters, wishlists, Profile Match, manual curation and scheduling without it.

Can participants search CVs, catalogues, PDFs or images?

Yes, when the organiser has deliberately selected eligible files or images for that networking direction and they have passed security scanning. EventGen does not search every upload, private files, email, CRM data or the public web.

Does it replace meeting wishlists or Profile Match?

No. Wishlists and deterministic Profile Match remain separate signals. AI Intent Match is an additional curation option, and organisers retain the existing review and manual controls.

What is a Networking Objective?

It is an organiser-defined registration field in which a participant describes what they want to achieve through networking. When objective-led matching is enabled, EventGen can use it for a personal Networking Playbook and organiser curation.

What does Meeting Fit mean?

Meeting Fit is a calibrated relevance guide based on the evidence authorised for that direction. It is not a guarantee that a participant is suitable, will accept a request, will receive a meeting or will produce a business outcome.

Does AI automatically contact people or book meetings?

No. Participants review and edit any suggested meeting purpose before sending the ordinary form. Existing request, wishlist, booking, eligibility, availability, capacity and scheduling rules remain in control.

Can the two sides have different settings?

Yes. AI Intent Matchmaking is directional. Enabling or configuring Buyers to Suppliers does not silently configure Suppliers to Buyers.
